Puzzles and escape rooms
Physics challenges with story, clues, and momentum
Escape-room-style physics resources and puzzles that can work for classrooms, enrichment, families, and curious students where appropriate.
Turn physics review into a five-station investigation. Students solve puzzles in motion, Newton's laws, momentum, gravity, electrostatics, energy, circuits, and waves to crack each case — one printable escape room per unit, eight cases in a connected Physics Investigation Bureau series.
Each escape room includes station cards, student briefings and worksheets, a teacher guide, and full answer keys. Use them for review, test prep, enrichment, sub plans, or an end-of-unit challenge in grades 9–12.
Which one do I need? Reviewing one unit? Grab that unit's case — each stands alone. Want the whole series? The 8-room bundle at the top of this page is the best value, and every escape room is also included in the Curriculum PLUS and MEGA bundles. Not sure yet? The Circuit Breaker is free — run it with a real class before you spend anything.
Common questions
How long does one take? One class period. Students rotate through five evidence stations, solve the physics at each, and name the culprit in a Final Accusation.
How much prep? Printing. Station cards go up, packets get handed out, the decoder key runs the reveal.
Do they work for sub plans? Yes — the teacher guide is written so a substitute can run the rotation without physics knowledge.
What if my students have not seen the content? These are review activities — run them after teaching the unit, before the test.
